Let us help you start this important conversation

Our association can help you start talking about your wishes for care with those you love and provide resources so that you can capture your wishes in writing. We can help answer basic questions about important documents and can speak more broadly to your group or community about the importance of planning for your care in advance of when you need it. While we can’t provide legal or medical advice, we can give you the information and resources you need to get started.

Beginning the Conversation

In addition to talking with us, there are a number of resources to help you get started. The Conversation Project has a starter kit you can download for free. They also have an excellent resource on how to choose or be a health care proxy. Not up for conversation? Consider the popular “Go Wish” card game, which can be a comfortable way to sort out your wishes. You can also play a free online version and print your results for later discussion. Our association is also partnering with Honoring Choices Indiana to elevate the importance of the conversation about quality care at all stages of life.
