Greencastle, Indiana.
Looking toward a productive year of advocacy and welcoming new members, the Board of Directors of the Putnam County Hospice and Palliative Care Association (PCHPCA) had its first meeting of 2025 on January 29.
Members of the all-volunteer board represent healthcare, education, skilled nursing facilities, pastoral care, social work and caregivers. With their expertise and passion, the PCHPCA aims to be a reliable source of information and support for those coping with serious illnesses, as well as encourage people to be informed about advance care planning and end-of-life needs.
The Board’s officers are President Amber Alexander, Vice President Meagan Montague, Treasurer Sue McCune, and Secretary Alice Greenburg.
Board members currently include Brian Black, Cathy Clodfelter, Cathy McCall, Chris Oldstone-Moore, Janet Panoch, Jennifer Roose, Brand Selvia and Beth Newton Watson.
Selvia and Watson serve as chairpersons for the Community Education and Healthcare Professionals Education Committees, respectively. Elaine Peck continues to serve as the organization’s director.
“I am truly honored to lead such a dedicated and passionate group of people who care about our community,” President Alexander said. “The work we do is incredibly valuable and impactful, giving a voice to those who wish to advocate for themselves or others. Everyone needs assistance at some point in their lives, and we are here to help them understand their options and where to find support.”
The Putnam County Hospice and Palliative Care Association seeks to empower those facing and affected by serious illness by fostering support and educating the community about hospice, palliative care, and advance care planning. The PCHPCA is a nonprofit public charity that operates with the help of donations, financial support from the Putnam County Community Foundation and fiscal sponsorship by Putnam County Hospital.
